About
Welcome. I’m Jodie, a freelance writer based in Connecticut.
My writing often focuses on my life’s most defining roles: daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother and aunt. By extension, my work focuses on parenting, relationships, family and creativity.
I married my high school prom-date (not that same night) and we’re still growing (up) together as we raise our three children.
I graduated Cornell University with distinction in Communications and received my JD at Boston University. After fifteen years working as an attorney (serious researcher, incessant attention to detail) in commercial real estate and in the affordable housing industry, I now practice as a non-fiction essay and articles writer.
I love good stories, especially memoir and audiobooks of any kind. I’m often drawn to the epiphanies of everyday life that make me feel like I’m finally figuring things out. Other obsessions include tennis, crossword puzzles, avocado toast and a perfectly massaged kale salad.
